Defaults are fields, such as terms, aging, and general ledger account information that provide information, which automatically displays when new information is entered. Defining default information also saves time by automatically displaying in the Tasks windows when daily transactions are entered.  After Default information is set up, information can be entered into Peachtree Accounting through the Maintain menu.
